Imaam Tariq Abdur Rasheed is a certified peer specialist and counselor in addictive disease and mental health challenges. He has also worked in forensic units with individuals who are court ordered under the charge “not guilty by reason of insanity” (NGRI). Imaam Tariq is a certified trauma informed care specialist and a Wellness Recovery Action Plan facilitator.
He dedicated years of focused study to the religious works written on purification of the heart. He incorporates spirituality, psychology and sociology into his counseling technique. Imaam Tariq enjoys cultivating the physical and mental wellness that contributes to his client’s overall wellbeing.
Imaam Tariq hails from Brooklyn, NY and is a proud father and loving husband to two wives. He resides in Elkton, Maryland.
